THE FALL
A brash, amateur photographer, reeling from her mother's suicide, must rectify her self-destruction and accept the past in order to receive love and redemption.
Lacey Huxley, an aspiring photographer, celebrates her 30th birthday while still living in a tiny beach house with her two adorable grandparents in the small town of El Castillo, nestled off the pacific coast, as she develops a portfolio pitch for a magazine with her best friend since childhood.
In the wake of her mother’s suicide, Lacey feeds self destructive behavior. She attempts to drive home drunk, but a ruggedly handsome Aussie with a heart of gold insists on driving her home. Initially, Lacey rejects him, but their chemistry is indisputable, and genuine feelings begin to brew between them.
Upon the arrival of Lacey’s ex-boyfriend and his southern belle fiancé moving to town, longings from her past resurface, complicating her romantic desires. When her grandfather falls and hits his head, inducing a coma, Lacey and her frail, mentally deteriorating grandmother are devastated.
Yet as her life seems to fall to pieces, Lacey finally achieves self discovery and… true love. The kind of love that only existed in a bygone era and with people whose souls collided like molecules in a chemical reactor. The kind her grandparents perfectly personified.
